On a nice sunny spring day in Berea, the Quakers of Wilmington came to Berea to face the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets in a OAC game. From the first inning, you could tell that the Quaker offense was going to have trouble with starting pitcher Marisa Hall. She kept the bats quiet for most of the game.
The bottom of the second, BW started hitting the ball and getting out of the batter’s box quickly, allowing runners to get on base, the Yellow Jacket hit for 2 runs, as Steph Mraz and Lexy Coggins scored runs.
The third inning both teams, did not produce any runs, again M. Hall kept the Wilmington batters guessing on the pitches. As the fourth inning came, again, S. Mraz found her way around the bases and another run.
The Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets savored the win on this Sunday afternoon in Berea Ohio. 3-0.
Marisa Hall IP-7, H 2, BB 2, SO 15
