In looking at Mayfield and Kosar early in their careers, one comparison can be made, and that’s both players had/have a ton of potential, and have Browns fans very excited for what lies ahead.
Everyone knows the legacy of Kosar, leading the Browns to three AFC Title games over his career before leaving the team (not by his doing) back in 1993.
He went 53-51-1 as a starter for the Browns, throwing for 116 touchdowns with 81 interceptions in his career.
Mayfield has a lot to live up to if he wants to reach the legacy and numbers that Kosar amassed in his career, but for Browns fans, it’s so far, so good, and the #1 pick has lived up to just about everyone’s expectations to this point early in his Browns career.
