All Good in the Neighborhood as Guardians punch their ticket to the Postseason

Here we go! Indeed all IS GREAT in the neighborhood as the Cleveland Guardians are headed to the postseason with another extra innings WIN against the “Trick bag Twins.” So appropriate for Andres Gimenez to cradle his head in his hands in a “nighty night” move aimed at the guys from Minnesota plus you knew with Jose on 2nd with the backyard wiffle ball rules in MLB that he was going to score no matter what happened in the inning. SIX relieves threw goose eggs at the Twins and Eli Morgan made sure we were not singing “Eli’s coming hide your heart fans” as he got out of a bags juiced, one out scenario in the top of the 10th!

I will make sure this next comment is all caps as THERE IS A SPECIAL, MAGICAL FEELING WITH THIS TEAM! A few savvy vets but a bunch of kids who echo Jeff Spicoli from the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High and one of his many epic lines when he noted “Hey Bud, let’s party” and these Guardos are doing just that…on the diamond. I know rookie Skipper Vogt drove us crazy at times with the lineup, use of relievers, leaving a pitcher in one batter too long but the team has won 89 games! SHEESH BASEBALL IS THE BEST! Guardians now with a 89-65 record right behind the 89-63 Yankees. YES, root for the M’s!

Truly refreshing too that the owners are not of questionable character, there have been no arrests, no indictments and the baggage is only on the diamond when they leave too many runners stranded. Dads and Moms are not afraid to take kids to the games, I see more groups of females enjoying the games and the park is a fun experience. The team has HAMMY AND ROSEY plus MATTY AND ARCH to bring us the games. SO SPECIAL. Enjoy the ride and for the haters who talk about the name change and the lack of payroll dollars,  NOTHING COMPARES TO WINNING. Hmmm…so it’s not what you spend but who you spend it on. BTW so many learned folks along with the rabble had the team with the number of wins in the 60’s. I’m sorry. Let’s do this GUARDIANS. THANK YOU!
