ATLANTA– Last night, Alabama overcame a 20-3 deficit to top Georgia in the College Football Playoff National Championship game with a 26-23 overtime victory.
Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, the Cavaliers got rocked by the Minnesota Timberwolves, suffering their worst loss of the 2017-18 season.
While the loss was an ugly one for the Cavs, there is some good news that came out of last night for the Wine & Gold. Since 2012, when Alabama football has won a national championship, so has LeBron James:
2012: Alabama wins national championship | James and Miami Heat win NBA title
2013: Alabama wins national championship | James and Miami Heat win NBA title
2014: Alabama loses in Sugar Bowl | James and Miami Heat lose in the Finals
2015: Alabama loses in national semifinals | James and Cavs lose in the Finals
2016: Alabama wins national championship | James and Cavs win NBA title
2017: Alabama loses national championship game | James and the Cavs lose in the Finals

While this pattern is simply a coincidence, it will be interesting to see if this pattern is kept alive when June 2018 comes around.
