2.) OF Greg Allen (No. 7 prospect)
Cleveland has spent a lot of high draft picks in recent years on talented young outfielders but that has also led to a little bit of a logjam at the position looking at the future. Injuries have kept Allen in AA Akron this year but he has the tools that another team would covet.
His .416 on-base percentage and 45 stolen bases last year would be perfect for a leadoff hitter in any lineup. His discipline at the plate with only 17 more career strikeouts than walks in over 1300 plate appearances will also back up that option as a top of the order guy.
While those look great, he grades highest in the field as a rangy CF. With Zimmer occupying the face of CF in the foreseeable future, Allen is stuck.
His trade value is also a lot higher than Tyler Naquin who is having a great year in Columbus and someone the Indians will likely keep around in case of injuries with Brandon Guyer, Abraham Almonte, Lonnie Chisenhall, Austin Jackson, and Michael Brantley all spending time on the DL this season.
