The Ohio State Buckeyes held off the Northwestern Wildcats 24-20 on Saturday to improve to 7-1 on the season.
It was a close game the whole way and the Bucks narrowly avoided a second upset.
Mike Weber scored two rushing touchdowns, gaining 87 yards on 14 carries. The redshirt freshman has rushed for 760 yards in eight games, scoring six touchdowns on the season so far.
J.T. Barrett completed 21-of-32 passes, amassing 223 passing yards, and ran for 71 yards on 13 carries. Curtis Samuel scored one rushing touchdown, finishing with 99 yards on 14 touches.
Ohio State will host #7 Nebraska (7-0) on Nov. 5, but the Cornhuskers could either move up the rankings with a win at #11 Wisconsin on Saturday night or fall in the rankings if they lose for the first time this season.
