Indians OF Michael Brantley To Take Two Days Off to Rest Following Weekend Cactus League Debut

Indians outfielder Michael Brantley has been making steady progress in his return from offseason surgery, but will be taking a break the next couple of days to give his body some time to rest according to STO’s Andre Knott.

Brantley hit a two-run homer in his Cactus League debut back on March 19th, and threw out a runner at the plate. He played five innings in that game.

The outfielder reported no soreness after the game, which is great news. Manager Terry Francona said he wasn’t too worried about the fact Brantley is taking a few days off to rest.

In two games played (5 at-bats), Brantley’s only hit was the two-run homer on Saturday night.
