It’s bracket time once again, as Thursday basketball fans all over the country will be looking at their brackets for the biggest college hoops tourney in the world.
Before you make it official, check out what chances we think lower seeds we think will have the best chances to pull off an upset of a higher seed in the tourney, and it may make you think twice before you make that bracket official.
16 Seed: Hampton
A 16 seed has never beaten a number one seed. Chances are that won’t change again this year but if you’re going to pick one for whatever reason Hampton is the most likely. With two play in games, it’s hard to predict who will even be playing and they will be coming in after traveling in addition to playing on short rest. Among the two teams already set in their matchup, Hampton is better. They are the only one to win their regular season conference and the conference title. They also play Virginia, the worst of the one seeds.
15 Seed: Weber State
The most talented 15 seed is Middle Tennessee. The problem is they play my national champion pick Michigan State. Instead I’ll pick Weber State as the most likely to win although once again I don’t see any chance a two seed goes down. Weber comes in hot winning 10 of their last 11 while Xavier may be a little rocked after losing to Seton Hall for the second time this season.
