3) Bitonio
Since Hue Jackson announced that Joel Bitonio would be making the move to left tackle, it’s been Bitonio watch at practices out in Berea. On Thursday he held down the fort at the position, protecting Taylor’s blindside for the first two drives of the game. In total that encompassed eight total plays and Bitonio held his own primarily against Olivier Vernon. It’s obvious he’s still becoming familiar with the footwork – it’s a different angle dropping as a tackle than guard – but he kept the QB clean and that’s the most important thing.
