5 Reasons Why Warriors’ Blowout Win Over Cavs Doesn’t Matter

The Cleveland Cavaliers were blown out by the Golden State Warriors, 126-91 on Monday night in Oakland.

The Warriors can rightfully celebrate this win and it was much-needed to end a four-game losing streak against the Cavs, but here are a few things Clevelanders and fans of the Bay Area may want to take into consideration.

1. This time last year, the Warriors had beaten the Cavs for the fifth-straight time, and dominated the Cavs 132-98 in Cleveland.

2. The Cavs were playing their getaway game, the final match of a six-game road trip that lasted ten days.

3. The Cavs didn’t need this game as badly as the Warriors, hence the apparent lack of urgency.

4. The Cavs aren’t going to show their hand in January. Perhaps Tyronn Lue was holding some things back from a gameplan standpoint and will have a few different looks to show in the Finals.

5. J.R. Smith wasn’t on the floor to defend Klay Thompson or Steph Curry. Assuming Smith recovers from his thumb injury, he’ll get the majority of the minutes at shooting guard, and is as tough a defender as he is a great three-point shooter.

JR Smith is unreliable. He is not a shooter like Durant, Curry and Thompson. Our cavalier is not a good team, average players. Even Lebron is not a shooter. I am amaze why they win with this D League team. Only Lebron is good except he is not a shooter. I want to have a miracle though so they win. Without divine intervention, their players are average compared to the warriors.
