1. Knee Troubles Behind Him?
Obviously the biggest downfall of Oden’s career has been his injury history. It’s easy to point out all the time he has missed over his career. But let’s focus on the here and now.
Oden is known for his knee-issues, but in 2015-2016, he played 25 games in China, averaging 25 minutes per game, scoring 13.6 points with 12.6 rebounds per game. He did miss a few weeks due to a hand-injury, but bounced back from it fine, and missed no time in the 2015-2016 season due to knee problems.
It would still be something to consider if they did take a flyer on Oden, but that’s why it’s called “taking a flyer.”
