Former graphic designer and one of the most popular female competitors to come from Japan, Asuka currently reigns as NXT Women’s Champion. Dominating in promotions such as JWP Project, Smash and Pro Wrestling Classic, it wasn’t long before NXT caught wind of her work and signed her. And it wasn’t long before she began to dominate the women’s division in NXT either, taking on talent such as Dana Brooke, Emma, Nia Jaxx, Eva Marie and Bayley. After being with NXT for just 8 months, she then became NXT Women’s Champion after defeating Bayley via technical submission at NXT Takeover: Dallas. As quoted by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was stated that she ‘may be the best worker in WWE, man or woman’.
