4. Will Boston Play Dirty?
J.R. Smith alluded to it after Game 1.
He expects the Celtics to play dirty because “they’re fighting for their lives.”
The Cavs had their way with Boston in Game 1 and Thompson was a nightmare for the Celtics on the offensive glass.
Marcus Smart started to get physical with Thompson in the second half and the game became slightly chippy late in the third quarter.
If you take away the Cavs’ dominant first half, Boston actually held their own from midway through the third quarter onward, partially because the Celtics stepped up their physicality.
Look for the Celtics to try to come out more aggressive and more physical, rather than letting the Cavs walk all over them from the start of the game.
