All season long high school hockey teams in the area have worked hard to make it to this point – the point being the annual Baron Cup Tournament in Brooklyn starting today.
The Cup, about to kickoff for the 48th time in its history today, will highlight 21 games over six days starting today with three games starting at 4:340PM.

Today starts with a matchup in Baron Cup III, as the #1 Seed Parma Redmen will take on #8 Seed Twinsburg at 4:30pm.
The Redmen will be looking to win their first ever Baron Cup title, and won the Blue North Division with a 12-1-0 mark.
Matt Higginbotham, Robbie Gudin and Robert Takacs leads the Parma offense, and goalie Colin Pinson is having a great season in net for the Redmen.
The Tigers went 11-3 in Blue South play this past season, and are led by Anthony Sciarabba, who had 49 points on the season.
Game two will be the first of two games today in Baron Cup II, starting with a matchup between #1 Amherst and the # seeded Orange Lions.
The Comets had an outstanding season, wrapping up the regular season with a mark of 13-0 in GCHSHL White South play, and a mark of 27-2 overall. They outscored their opponents by 163 goals this year, and will look to defend their Baron Cup II title from a year ago.
The Lions went 10-15 overall this season, 3-10 in GCHSHL White North play. The Lions are led by Justin Beachler, who scored 16 points on the season.
The third game at 8:30pm tonight will highlight another Baron Cup II game, as #4 Seed Olmsted Falls will take on #5 Seed Avon Lake.
The Bulldogs were 9-4 in GCHSHL White South play, and split in two games against Avon Lake this season. They are led by Dom Conte who put up 35 points this season and also is the all-time Bulldogs leader in assists, a mark he reached this season.
Avon Lake was 7-5 in league play in the White North Division, and are led by Nick Ospelt (18 points) and Thomas Kacmarcik (16 points).
