8.) Courtney Upshaw DE/OLB Baltimore Ravens
The Browns have another chance to take away from a division rival. While Upshaw isn’t the most wanted free agent out there, he is only 26 and specializes against the run, something the Browns need. Taking anybody away from Baltimore should be a help and if he can piece some things together would make signing him a steal.
9.) Andre Smith OT Cincinnati Bengals
Once again familiarity and taking from a rival could be a factor. Andre Smith is an interesting option. He was among the top tackles in the NFL before struggling the last couple of seasons. If Mitchell Schwartz doesn’t resign, the Browns would need to sign a RT if they don’t want to waste another high draft pick on an offensive lineman. Smith is naturally a RT and one of the better options on the market.
10.) Coby Fleener TE Indianapolis Colts
Outside of Gary Barnidge, the Browns got eight catches for 74 yards from the rest of their tight ends. The team could use another option to take some of the pressure off of Barnidge. Pep Hamilton becomes the assistant head coach on offense after serving as the offensive coordinator of the Colts for the last two and a half years. His familiarity with Fleener could lead him to Cleveland if he doesn’t resign with Indianapolis in a weak year for tight ends in free agency and the draft. The Browns would welcome another 50 catch a season guy to the mix.
