With the trade deadline approaching, do you think the Cavs should make a move or stand pat? Small or big?
Matt Medley: If J.R. Smith can continue to be as effective as he has been since January, especially when the playoffs come around, he can be a lethal weapon. Granted, this is contingent on the big three staying healthy because we saw last postseason how Smith is not suited to be a second option in terms of scoring.
Eddy Jansen: They can always make a move if the price is right, but I think they’ll be just fine by standing pat. If Tyronn Lue can maximize the potential of some of their underachieving veterans (Timofey Mozgov, Mo Williams, etc) then they do not have to make any trades at all. But if they go after anyone, they should get a defender or a backup power forward. I don’t think they should waste their time pursuing McLemore or Korver, since they already have enough floor spacers. The Cavs only roster issue is: No Steph Curry.
Adrienne Goehler: Again, I believe the team has all the talent in the world. I thought the point of the trades, signings, and acquisitions was for the long haul to get this thing done… but improvements can always be made. If we must make a move I think it should be for anyone who is offensive minded. A big would be nice since the Cavs have quite the depth at guard.
