3 reasons why Odell Beckam Jr. would make the Browns better

by Michael Rodgers

The Cleveland Browns could potentially have the greatest trio of talent at the wide receiver position of all-time. Imagine a Browns team with Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. seems improbable but may not be as far-fetched as fans may believe.

On Monday, the newly acquired Landry spoke with Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com and shed some light on if Beckham Jr. would be interested in playing for the Browns.

“If things like that are able to happen, then why not?,” Landry told Cabot. “He definitely would be (up for it). He would be.”

Landry goes on to say “We’ve had talks,” and that he just wants his good friend to be happy.

If the Browns have the assets to execute a trade for the stud receiver then they absolutely must make it happen. The combination of Gordon, Beckham Jr. and Landry would not only make them a playoff threat, they’d legitimately be a threat to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.

Each of the three receivers have been number one options for their teams and add a different element to the passing game. Gordon has proven, when available, to be one of the best deep threats in the league. Landry is nearly unstoppable in the slot and Beckham Jr. may be the most dangerous and explosive receiver in the league.

There isn’t a team in the NFL equipped to stop all three receivers, especially since all three require a double team. It’s not all about what they can do individually either, it’s what they can do as a collective offensive unit. They instantly make all the other skilled players and each other better. The Browns would absolutely be a top offense in the league and nearly impossible to defend and here’s three reasons why.
