6. Brian Dozier Minnesota Twins
Last but not least is Brian Dozier, the Twins infielder who this season is hitting .224 with 16 home runs and 52 runs batted in.
The likely thought process behind bringing in Dozier (if the Indians don’t also get another outfielder) is to put him at second and possibly find some at bats for Jason Kipnis in the outfield.
He would be a rental, as he’s a free agent at the end of the season, but bringing him in might be interesting as it could push Kip to the outfield or the team could platoon him and Kip in the infield or make Kip more of a utility player using him in both positions.
