The 2019 High School Football season will kickoff this week, and the Lake Erie League looks like it should be another competitive season for the six teams involved.
Last season Maple Heights won the LEL, winning two playoff games before falling to eventual state champion Archbishop Hoban 52-6 on November 16th.
Cleveland Heights went 7-3, and is expected to be good again this season. Lorain was over .500 at 6-4, while Warrensville Heights was 5-5.
Below is the week one schedule, any game without a time or date is on Friday night with a kickoff at 7pm.

Shaw at Collinwood (Saturday, August 31st)
