2018 NFL Draft Team Grades

Pittsburgh Steelers
Grade: D+
I was not a fan of the Steelers draft. They reached on Edmunds in the first after all their LBs went already. I was not big on the Oklahoma State players and they doubled down with Washington and Rudolph. Adding an underwhelming OT early and another safety when you just drafted one and more questions are coming out then being answered.

San Francisco 49ers
Grade: B-
The only reason this gets some kind of a B instead of a C/D is Jimmy G. While getting any kind of franchise QB is an A+ move I don’t want one pick to completely outweigh every other pick. McGlinchey was a reach for a non-need. I don’t think they needed to trade up for Pettis. Moore can be a bust but has physical potential. Warner was the only pick from San Fran I actually liked. They are lucky Jimmy G will save this draft for them.

Seattle Seahawks Grade: D
Seattle is a team that needs to tear everything down to the core and start a full on rebuild similar to what the Colts and Andrew Luck are going through. The problem is Seattle has no picks to do that with. Instead of continuing to trade down and add day two picks they took a RB in Penny. While I like Penny he was not the right pick for Seattle. Green was a good pick in the third round but not addressing WR, DT, or CB and waiting until the fifth round to fix the line was dumb especially considering the fact they wasted two picks on a punter and QB.
