5th Round
The Browns own their own fifth round pick, the Patriots pick from the Barkevious Mingo trade and likely one more compensatory pick.
OG Nico Siragusa San Diego State
Cleveland is going to need more than one offensive lineman and with Erving possibly being kicked out to tackle and Shonn Coleman being picked in the third round last year, it might be time to add another player into the middle. Siragusa is one of the better run blocking guards in college, starting 40 games and paving the way for the new NCAA rushing leader Donnel Pumphrey. He could compete for a spot on the right side of the line to help establish a consistent running game next season or add some quality depth with Bitonio and Greco struggling with injuries.
RB Kareem Hunt Toledo
I tried to avoid my Toledo bias but after looking at the different RBs in this range and what the Browns need Hunt just made too much sense. The Cleveland RBs were one of the strengths on this 2016 team as Isaiah Crowell and Duke Johnson both provided solid seasons. The problem is there is no depth behind those two and Crowell is a restricted free agent. Hunt offers another well-built back like Crowell who can run inside but has also shown he can catch the ball out of the backfield and is great in protection, a couple areas where Crowell isn’t as good. He won’t have the gamebreaking speed to make him a big NFL threat but he uses great vision and his tools to be a nice change of pace back who doesn’t fumble.
DL Larry Ogunjobi Charlotte
He’s a four year player who has consistently found ways to make plays behind the line of scrimmage year after year. While he is mostly listed as a DT, his size and run stopping ability should let him play as a 3-4 DE for Cleveland. The Browns need another lineman who can come in and help stop the run after the Browns finished in the bottom three in run defense for the third straight year.
