7.) Los Angeles Chargers- Malik Hooker S Ohio State
The Chargers struck gold with a Buckeye last year in Joey Bosa and they might be able to do it again this year with Malik Hooker. San Diego resigned their SS but still have a big hole at FS. Hooker fits that role and becomes a nice match for the Chargers.
8.) Carolina Panthers- Marshon Lattimore CB Ohio State
The Panthers are probably hoping Fournette or one of the premier pass rushers falls to them. In this scenario they don’t. That leaves them with reaching a little for a pass rusher or receiver or solidifying their corners with the top one available. In this class I would take the best player of the group.
9.) Cincinnati Bengals- Reuben Foster LB Alabama
The Bengals need to get faster and more athletic at LB and need a replacement for Burfict if he can’t keep his act together. Foster is a complete football player that can make plays behind a pretty strong defensive line and stop the run for the Bengals. The Bengals have always taken players with the questionable background so he doesn’t fall here.
10.) Buffalo Bills- Corey Davis WR Western Michigan
With Tyrod Taylor coming back, QB is not an option that makes sense here. They lost Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin, and Justin Hunter all to free agency so they need to find some receivers to help out. Davis is the best receiver on the board here and should be a relatively simple pick.
11.) New Orleans Saints- Derek Barnett DE Tennessee
Barnett seems to be a popular pick here and it makes a ton of sense. The Saints need all the help they can get on the defensive side of the ball and starting with a pass rusher that can get after the QB is a good move.
