6th Round No. 187 Overall
Erik Magnuson OT Michigan
The front office did a nice job upgrading the line in free agency by bringing in JC Tretter and Kevin Zeitler, but there is still a question mark at RT. It is believed that they may try Cam Erving back out there after originally projecting him at center. The team also drafted Shonn Coleman in the third round of last year’s draft. If neither can prove themselves then the team needs to add another player that plug in at tackle. Magnuson was a two year starter at RT for a pretty good Michigan line.
6th Round No. 188 Overall
Nate Hairston CB Temple
The Browns still have to add some depth at corner with only three corners on the current roster being there since week one. Hairston is a late day prospect that can be worth a flier. A WR turned CB at Temple, Hairston does not have a lot of experience at the position and that is part the reason why he will be selected late. What he does show are some good hips and ball skills from his days as a WR. If he can be coached up and improve his footwork and technique while learning the position then he could be a nice depth option.
