WR Devin Funchess CAR
A little bit deeper of a sleeper than other names on this list, Funchess might be the deep league WR to look for. On a team short of WR talent and without their top WR last year, Funchess did not have an impact. While still new to the WR position compared to a lot of players, his 6’4” 225 pound structure gives him an advantage. With a season under his belt and some more training, he should be better this season. Kelvin Benjamin being back helps the WR group there but if Funchess can step his game up, the MVP can make him a redzone threat with Benjamin and Olson.
WR DeVante Parker MIA
Injuries derailed most of his rookie season but he showed great signs for this year at the end of the 2015 season. Over the final six weeks, he had 80+ yards in four of them with three TDs. It looks like he will be among the starters this year while he was a fourth option or so last year slowly working back from a hamstring. Adam Gase has always had some good WRs while he was an offensive coordinator. Parker has the speed and big play ability to be that guy compared to Jarvis Landry who is more of a possession WR.
TE Coby Fleener NO
The effect of not having Jimmy Graham for Drew Brees showed early and often last year. While Brees broke out of it and continued to build his Hall of Fame portfolio, having a legitimate TE this year will make a big impact for Brees and Fleener. After splitting time with Dwayne Allen since his rookie season, Fleener will finally have his chance to be the guy. The top two WRs from last year, Brandin Cooks and Willie Snead are both under six feet. Fleener’s size will make him a true redzone threat. Look for a possible top five fantasy TE year from Fleener.
