2. Russell Westbrook : Oklahoma City Thunder
Most athletic point guard ever? Most athletic player ever? Most well-rounded point guard the game has seen? These are not examples of hyperbole. These are questions worth considering. Westbrook is a freak! He averages 24 points per game, the third-most among point guards, and keep in mind that’s while playing alongside Kevin Durant, who averages 27.
Westbrook leads all point guards in rebounding, averaging 7.4 boards per game. Keep in mind, this is a point guard. There are starting power forwards in the league who don’t average that many rebounds. Westbrook is second in the NBA in assists, averaging 9.9 per game. His seven triple-doubles lead all point guards and is second-most in the NBA. He also leads the NBA in steals, averaging 2.36 per game. OKC is 37-13 and it’s a fair question to ask which player is more valuable to the team between Westbrook and Durant. There’s no wrong answer, but what’s undeniable is that Westbrook is a superstar.
