2 For 2, Indians Top Boston for Second Straight Game in 6-3 Win; Three Takeaways

2. Bieber Sets the Tone

While the Indians were building a 5-0 lead with some clutch hits on the offensive side, pitcher Shane Bieber was doing his best impression of Corey Kluber and company, shutting out the Red Sox.

Yes Boston finally got to Bieber for three runs in the 7th, but the Tribe had already built a nice lead, and by then the pen was ready to go for the Tribe to end the game and get the Indians the win.

Bieber moves to 7-2 on the season, and continues to be one of the best surprises for the team this season. He didn’t walk a batter and struck out five in the win, and like Kluber (despite allowing three runs early) he got into a groove while the offense did the rest.
