1. The Cavs declined to make any meaningful comment on Kyrie Irving’s status. Dan Gilbert and Koby Altman did not deny the reports of Irving’s trade request, but wouldn’t “go into details” on how they’re handling the situation.
It’s understandable to not comment on active trade negotiations, but as reporters continued to push the issue, Altman and Gilbert made some statements which came across as downplaying the seriousness of the situation.
