66.) Don’t Over Adjust Your Team
Like I mentioned before don’t constantly tweak your team. Each time you go to waivers you are picking from what is left over from all the other teams in your league. The more times you tweak it the weaker you are potentially making it. Give players a chance to pan out and be patient. You don’t want to regret dropping someone early because you didn’t like how they started. Don’t continually second guess your lineup and constantly change that either. Spending countless hours trying to perfect your lineup is a waste of time. Look at some expert rankings and injuries, make the proper pickups and decide the original best lineup before the Thursday game. Make the following tweaks on Saturday and Sunday and go with what you feel is best. Overadjusting makes things more complex then they need to be and you waste more time worrying about it when you could be enjoying other things.
67.) If You’re Going To Drop Wait Until The End Of The Week
If you know for sure you are going to drop a player for whatever reason try and wait until Saturday if you can. The reason for it being that when you drop them, based on league settings it usually takes a day or two for them to process waivers and be available to be added by other teams. By waiting until the end of the week, by the time they would become available their game has already been played and everyone has to wait until the following week to get that person on waivers. This can be especially important when you are dropping a player you still want and think someone else may pick up. Maybe you have two RB’s on bye and need to pick up another one to start that week. Based on your team you decide on the one player you need to drop to do it but don’t want to. Wait and give yourself a better chance at getting them back the following week then leaving them open to everyone all week.
68.) Make Sure Your Team Is Set For Second Half
Winning is of upmost importance at any time during the fantasy season but if I had to pick one the second half matters most. The second half is the playoffs and playoff push. Adding players with a nice schedule, coming back from injury, or finally breaking into the lineup can set your team up for the long haul versus just now. Being able to win now and have parts in place for the future makes your team the one to beat come the playoffs.
